Tinto Amor - Investing in trees

Tinto Amor - investing in trees

Tinto Amor is a sustainable reforestation project with bloodwood trees in Campeche, Mexico. We offer our investors an innovative impact investment with solid returns. We provide answers to global challenges and generate multiple income streams: Haematoxylin – Biomass – CO2 certificates.

We want to absorb large amounts of CO2, produce renewable and high quality coal, improve soil quality, increase biodiversity, fight global warming and strengthen local economies.

1. Preparation:

Our territory covers more than 2,000 ha. We have developed innovative machines for the extraction and freeze-drying of haematoxylin. The cost for this large-scale processing plant is about 1 million euros. We use solar and gasification energy. Our processes are sustainable and CO2-neutral.
2. Cultivation:
We plant 150,000 trees (Tinto trees) per year on an area of 125 ha for a commercial but purely ecological reforestation. After 8 years we will have planted 1,200,000 trees on 1,000 ha. After only 8-10 years, the Tinto is about 8 to 10 metres high and has a diameter of over 16 cm at breast height, that is an impressive growth.
3. Harvest:

The cultivation takes about 8 years and we will have planted over 1,200,000 trees on 1,000 ha- so that in year 9 we will have our first harvest. We use wood chips as a renewable and sustainable source of energy for local cement factories, ironworks, thermoelectricity plants, chipboards, cellulose for paper industry, etc. Biomass is about 30% of our revenue.
4. Ecological benefits:

Large amounts of CO2 are absorbed and bound in the soil thanks to our innovative use of plant charcoal (biochar). Only 1 Tinto binds up to 44 tonnes per hectare in one year - of which we retain a large proportion in the soil in the long term. On the remaining land, we maintain and restore the existing virgin forest.
5. Recycling:

We recycle the remaining biomass of the tree. It is a renewable energy source with a high combustion value. In other words, we are 100% sustainable.

Invest in sustainability

Tinto Amor is the response to social inequality, ecological exploitation and economic dependence. We make an important and sustainable contribution to the fight against the climate crisis.

Our innovative processes work in harmony with the local flora and fauna and with the lowest possible energy consumption. We are committed to preserve resources for present and future generations. In other words, the local population also plays a crucial role in our Tinto Amor project.

During production, we create a variety of jobs with ideal conditions. As a consequence up to 2,000 families will benefit from our project.
